About us

TrueWorldHelp is an international NGO that fights poverty, supports people in emergency situations worldwide with everything they need to build a self-determined life. In doing so, we have focused on ensuring that our help and support show sustainable and long-term success. With our projects and offers of help, we attach particular importance to the fact that human dignity is the focus.

In cooperation with local partner organizations, we provide fast and effective help for the affected population. This includes measures such as the distribution of food and hygiene items as well as medical care and education.

How did that happen? In 2021, Diana Coleman, now CEO of TrueWorldHelp, visited her home country of Kenya. From her childhood she knew that some in the country were doing very well, but many others were not so well off. However, what she saw in her country that year shook her to the core. The country was shaken even more by the economic consequences of the corona epidemic. Families and single people, who up to now have been able to earn a living, had even less income. And this in a country where there are no social benefits from the state that supports the poor.

Affected by these insights of extreme poverty, Diana thought about how she could help those badly affected. During her vacation she spoke to many friends and acquaintances. They discussed about the options and how they could start helping poor people worldwide. And with every conversation, the disillusionment grew. She realized that much of the aid coming from abroad through other organizations was not really reaching the poorest. She decided to go inside her pocket and help the needy. she bought as much foodstuffs as she could afford on the spot. cooking equipment, bread, sugar, ugali flour, wheat flour, cooking oil, soap, exercise books, pens and hygiene products for women and many more items. Of course, this was all just a drop in the bucket. But each recipient could live better again for a few days. Diana was aware that she cannot help everyone. But the gratitude she was shown motivated her to keep going.

Back in Germany, she talked to her partner Bernhard Marx, who had already worked for an NPO for over 5 years. The idea was further developed together. A name was found, a logo created. TrueWorldHelp was born.
